HEDNESFORD TOWN announced the shock departure of manager Steve King just two days before their big FA Cup day.
Blaming a “breakdown in communication” between King and the club’s board, the Step 4 Pitmen opted to part company with the former Dartford, Gloucester City and Havant & Waterlooville boss. It came ahead of yesterday’s historic first round proper clash with NPL Premier outfit Gainsborough Trinity.
