The 5.30pm kick-off caught me napping and it meant three hours of coffee drinking at a well-known chain of coffee houses in the town.
I walked to The Lamb ground, glimpsing the fiery glow of the floodlights in the swirling grey water clouds as echoes of Halifax Town cries became audible in the gloom.
