PROUD chairman Carl Whelp-dale was determined he was never going to let Willington FC die despite successive relegations to the Step 8 Wearside League Division One.
And he has got his rewards this season with Steve Howe’s team sitting pretty on top of the table with Sam Green taking their goal tally to 100!
The 2-0victory against New Durham AFC made it 22 victories in 25 games for Willo so far this season with one foot already back in the Premier division with nine games to play.
