OLDHAM Athletic boss Micky Mellon heaped praise on his injury-hit side’s herculean performance in the derby win at Rochdale on Tuesday night – but still wants his Latics to find a ‘killer instinct’.
A 17th-minute header from in-form striker Mike Fondop handed Oldham victory in front of a Spotland crowd of 5,880, but both he and substitute Josh Kay both missed golden second-half opportunities to make the scoreline more comfortable for the 2,400 travelling Latics fans.
