KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS have upped the ante in their bid to go one better than last term’s Conference Premier runners-up spot – by signing 2011-12 champion Lee Fowler.
The former Coventry City youngster started that campaign at early pace-setters Wrexham, before a January move to the Fylde coast saw him help Fleetwood Town lift the title.
Fowler, 30, has penned a two-year deal at Aggborough as Steve Burr sets about further strengthening his squad after the earlier signings of Luton winger James Dance and Mansfield midfielder Jamie Tolley, Fowler’s ex-Wrexham team-mate.
Fowler, who last season played in League One for Doncaster, League Two for Fleetwood and Burton Albion and the Conference for Forest Green, told The NLP: “The style of play Steve likes his team to adopt will hopefully suit me down to the ground.
“I know what it takes to win this league and hopefully I can help Kidderminster build on last year’s near-miss.”
