SALFORD CITY will once again be shown on TV after the Football Association announced the three FA Cup second round ties picked for live coverage.
The Ammies, partly owned by Manchester United’s Class of 92, beat Notts County in round one and they will again feature on the BBC.
Their home tie against Hartlepool United will be screened live on BBC2 on Friday, December 4 with a 7.55pm kick off. The club have received plenty of media attention following the recently televised BBC documentary.
The other Non-League club picking up the £72,000 live broadcast fee from the FA is National League outfit Grimsby Town.
Their match against Shrewsbury Town at Blundell Park will be shown on BT Sport on Monday, December 7 with a 7.45pm kick off.
The other game chosen for coverage is Rochdale v Bury, also on BT Sport on Sunday, December 6.
Meanwhile, the BBC’s Football Focus show will be broadcast from Evo-Stik NPL Premier Stourbridge on Saturday, December 5 ahead of their second round game against Eastleigh.
The following day, Final Score will showcase all the goals from Sunday’s eight games, which are yet to be announced.
