EASTLEIGH will host Leeds United in the fourth round of the FA Cup but only if they can win their replay at Bolton Wanderers next Tuesday.
The National League Spitfires were just minutes from knocking out the Championship strugglers on Saturday after Dorian Dervite’s own goal.
Darren Pratley’s 87th minute equaliser from a corner saved the Trotters and set up a replay at the Macron Stadium next week.
Chris Todd’s men will go to Lancashire full of confidence and will surely be buoyed by Monday night’s draw, which set up a potential game against Leeds United.
Following Saturday’s game, Todd said: “The players put absolutely everything into it and they’ve given a performance that deserved a win.
“The scenes when we took the lead were incredible. It’s something we’ve never seen before, but it just goes to show what could happen if we achieve what we want to as a football club.
“They won’t be too keen on us coming to their place as we’ve shown how good we can be and the problems we can cause them and it’s going to be an interesting game when the return comes.”
