LIAM THEAR scored a hat-trick as Dunston UTS eased into the next round where they will play Barnoldswick Town.
The visitors made the ideal start when Mark Fitzpatrick set up Thear’s seventhminute opener, the ball finding the net off the underside of the crossbar.
Thear then fired across Washington goalkeeper Dan Gladstone just before the halfhour mark for his and his side’s second goal, doubling the visitors’ lead.
Gladstone was impressive throughout but was beaten by Thear from the spot after Alex White handled a Callum Elliott cross.
