CONSETT progressed with a convincing win over fellow Northern Leaguers.
It took only 16 minutes to open the scoring, with Michael Sweet firing into an empty net after Matt Smith had denied Michael Mackay.
Mackay who got the second, racing on to Sweet’s through ball and burying the rebound beyond Smith.
The Mackay- Sweet partnership played a huge part in the third with the pair combining for Sweet to score.
Nathan Lawrence wrapped it up for the Steelmen, firing a 25- yard pile-driver beyond the overworked but appreciated Smith.
