THE men from the North East Counties League edged a highly entertaining FA Cup tie that in truth neither team deserved to lose.
Skelmersdale took the lead in the 21st minute with a Phil Mooney strike from 20 yards. Handsworth levelled seven minutes later via Simon Harrison.
The Skelmersdale defence this time only partially clearing the ball and Harrison hit an incisive shot from 25 yards giving goalkeeper Jack Sims no chance.
