HERTFORD produced a battling display to earn a replay against Grays Athletic.
In a tense match, the visitors took the lead in the 21st minute when Kieran Bishop dispatched his spot kick.
Tommy Wade was caused Grays all sorts of problems but could not find an equaliser. In a frustrating second half Town continued to press.
A tantalising cross from Sam Ruff found Wade who powered his header past the goalkeeper. Grays almost won it but Charlie Mann produced a fine stop.
