OSSETT were made to work hard for their victory in the FA Cup as Steve Ridley’s bizarre goal helped them into the next round.
Ashley Jackson’s acrobatic kick was saved by Adam Reid on 12 minutes as they pressed hard.
Ossett took the lead on 39 minutes from Steve Ridley’s corner. Nobody got a touch on the ball and it just went straight in the net, bounced from him taking it.
Darrhyl Mason had a chance to equalise on 66 minutes, but his shot went wide.
The visitors pressure hard for an equaliser but they could not deny the hosts the slender victory.
