A FIRST half to forget saw Alfreton come alarmlingly close to being victims of a shock to AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
Visiting AFC should’ve taken the lead earlier than they did, when Nabil Shariff slid his shot wide.
Gyasi did put Rushden ahead however, a defensive mix up saw him one on one to slot home.
Shortly after, Shariff made a mends by doubling the lead. Another defensive error, another goal.
Brody Robertson offered some hope before the break, finishing off a Brendon Daniels set-piece.
