OLLIE PEARCE was the hero as Bognor put aside modest league form to tip an off-colour Eastbourne out of the Cup.
His opportunism was wedded to some superhuman defending. Borough had more of the ball and many chances, but lacked a cutting edge.
The Rocks led on 11 minutes, Pearce pouncing as Borough failed to clear. Fine Dan Lincoln saves – and a headed clearance by Calvin Davies – kept out a trio of efforts.
