GEORGE WELLS’S strike seven minutes from the end put Slough Town through to fourth round qualifying for the first time in five years at the expense of National League South Poole Town.
It was a moment to forget for Dolphins keeper Nick Hutchings, who let Wells’s 25-yard strike slip through his grasp when it looked a routine save.
Poole had taken an early lead when Warren Bentley capitalised on defenders slipping before beating Jack Turner.
