A LITTLE more composure in front of goal and Macclesfield could easily have been celebrating dumping Forest Green Rovers out of the FA Cup, according to manager John Askey.
Despite flying high in the table, the Silkmen were undone by Christian Doidge’s 41st-minute strike. That completed sweet revenge for Rovers who were knocked out of the FA Trophy at the quarter-final stage last season by the same opponents.
But Askey insisted a lack of composure in the final third was the only thing which let them down.
