BURSCOUGH and 1874 Northwich will need to try again on Tuesday after an end-to-end cup clash ended in stalemate at Victoria Park.
The hosts got off to a flying start and, after immediate pressure from the kick-off, a break down the right resulted in a low ball to the edge of the box and Chad Whyte struck low to put the Linnets ahead.
The home side doubled their lead on 14 minutes when Terry Cummings showed light feet to beat a defender before rounding the keeper and slotting into the empty net.
