COLNE battled their way to the next round of the FA Cup with a convincing second-half display.
The game burst into life on 51 minutes when Matty Morgan fired home to give Colne the lead.
John McCombe looked sure to equalise for Hyde six minutes later but Alex Coleman blocked his shot in the goalmouth.
And Colne doubled their lead on 67 minutes when Reece Webb-Foster fired a shot into the top corner from Morgan’s right wing cross to seal the result for the Reds.
