A DELIGHTFUL chip by Paul Hayes 25 minutes from time was a worthy finish to send AFC Sudbury through.
Callum Harrison gave AFC Sudbury the lead from the penalty spot.
Chris Assombalonga latched onto a long ball from Welch to equalise for Royston on 33 minutes but the home side were back in front at the break courtesy of a Joe Whight free-kick.
Royston’s Vance Bola scored from a narrow angle with his first touch on 55 minutes before Hayes sealed the win from the edge of the area.
