HAMPTON earned their place in the third qualifying round with a comfortable win against Burgess HIll Town at a wet Beveree.
Chris Dickson opened the scoring for the Beavers on 41 minutes with a neat glancing header past Hillians keeper Joshua James from close range from Rhys Murrell-Williamson’s cross.
The lead was extended on 66 minutes with Murrell-Williamson’s rifled shot from just inside the area beating James and going in off the crossbar.
The home side were now in cruise control and firmly in charge of the tie.
