TRAFFORD did just enough to overcome a spirited and well organised Burscough side with goals at the end of each half.
Burscough refused to throw in the towel though and Trafford were made to work hard for their victory against stubborn and well-disciplined opposition.
After Darius Palma scraped the outside of the post with a free-kick in the 37th minute.
Sam Grimshaw put the hosts ahead minutes later when he struck a low great drive into the bottom corner of the net from 20 yards out.
