CIRENCESTER started the stronger side in their FA Cup clash with Gosport with Michael Pook hitting the crossbar direct from a corner and several set plays but failed to make the pressure count.
Early setbacks for both teams came in the form of injuries as Joshua Huggins replaced Richie Whittingham and the Centurions lost Adam Connolly for Will Wellon.
Charlie Kennedy forced a brilliant reaction save from the home keeper on a Gosport counter attack.
A half of few chances and the Gosport reguard stood firm to everything the home side posed...
