JIMMY Spencer’s firsthalf double got Farsley’s season off to a winning start as they edged Radcliffe out of the Cup.
Spencer put Farsley in command, but Kole Hall made it a nervous finish for the hosts who hung onto their lead to progress.
The opener came just eight minutes in, Tom Allan crossing for Spencer who brought the ball down before firing home superbly.
Shortly before the interval Spencer netted his second, winning the ball high up the pitch before finishing.
