VETERAN defender Kelvin Langmead popped up with the only goal to dump Leamington out.
Four games into their own campaign, Banbury were sharper, fitter and deserved to progress to the third qualifying round.
The visitors dominated the opening exchanges, moving ahead on 17 minutes when Puritans skipper Ricky Johnson nodded on a free-kick for Langmead to head past Jake Weaver.
Junior English’s acrobatic effort, which deflected behind for a corner, was Leamington’s best effort of a first half in which they never got going.
