MARTIN Carruthers admits he wishes Ilkeston Town hadn’t drawn high-flying Hartlepool United for the next round of the FA Cup but is just glad they will be on home turf. The Robins capped a blistering start to the season with victory over Alvechurch which set up a bumper tie with the National League pacesetters.
A home draw means Step 4 Ilkeston can at least be cheered on by home supporters on Saturday and with their fans behind them, manager Carruthers believes his side can conquer anyone.
