HAMPTON & Richmond Borough reached the first round of the FA Cup for only the fourth time in their history as they beat a Hemel side clearly lacking in confidence after a poor run of results.
The Beavers netted the only goal of the game on 10 minutes when a poor clearance found Niko Muir and the former Hemel Hempsted striker drove the ball home.
That proved to be the decisive strike but Hampton should have been home and dry by half-time, creating several chances after this early breakthrough.
