UCL CHIEF PUSHING FOR HALF-SEASON CONCLUSION

UNITED Counties League chairman Alan Poulain said that his competition did not want to “jump too early” and declare the season null and void if other options were still feasible.
His idea to complete the season is for teams to play each other just once, provided, therefore, that fixtures could restart in March or April.
Poulain says that a virtual meeting with chairmen of other Step 5 leagues was held and not one of them wanted to null and void the season at this stage.
By contrast, many of them were in favour of the idea of completing 50 per cent of games.
