■ STONE Old Alleynians came out on top in a clash of two Step 5 clubs looking to reach to the second qualifying round for the first time.
Anstey dominated the early stages of the game using long balls, particularly from goalkeeper Conrad Logan, to pressure the Stone defence.
However, with Leon Ashman and Luke Askey holding firm at the centre of the Stone defence, the visitors scored against the run of play with their first real chance.
Sam Wilson outpaced the Anstey defence to give Jack Tomlinson a straightforward tap-in after 13 minutes.
