■ KNOCKED out on penalties by Rylands last year, Whitby Town were in no mood to suffer the same fate twice, although it did take a penalty to set them on the way to victory.
After a goalless first half, the second was barely a minute old when they were awarded a penalty which Marcus Giles coolly dinked into the centre of the net.
Five minutes later, Whitby doubled their advantage with a spectacular overhead shot by Jacob Hazel.
