■ RUNCORN Linnets have their name in the hat for the FA Cup third qualifying round after a home victory over Bamber Bridge.
The home side opened the scoring when Iwan Murray’s deep corner was headed into the danger zone by Sean O’Mahoney and Carl Spellman nodded home from close range.
Bamber Bridge were level three minutes before the break via Ryan White. A cross from Sheldon Green fell to the forward who converted his deflected effort past Joe Young.
