HEATONStannington earned a place in the first qualifying round for the first time since 1977 as goals from Joe Shepherd, Jordan Watson, Konner Lamb and Max Cowburn fired them past North Ferriby.
The Stan took a 30thminute lead when Shepherd converted after Louis Anderson headed Dan Stephenson’s delivery back across the box.
Liam Dickens’ 30-yard screamer levelled for the Villagers nine minutes later, but Watson put the hosts back in front with a closerange finish on the stroke of half-time.
