STAMFORD came out non top in a feisty local  Lincolnshire derby.
The visitors dominated the early exchanges with Isaac Currie continually stretching the Spalding left flank.
Stamford’s first corner after 30 minutes was initially cleared but Jake Duffy’s second cross reached James Blunden and his header hit the bar before top scorer Jonathan Margetts tapped in.
Spalding’s only chance in the first half fell to Eliot Sandy but his close-range shot was smothered by Stamford keeper Ben Heath.
