NUTS & BOLTS TURN SCREW ON THE VILLA

ASHFORD UNITED made hard work of getting through to the next round, avoiding a late scare at the Homelands Stadium.
It was an electric start for the Nuts & Bolts, opening the scoring after just six minutes via Adem Ramadan, drilling in on the half-volley from the edge of the 18-yard box.
The hosts’ lead was doubled after a tidy move down the right. Ramadan combined expertly with Bradley Simms and the full-back fired across goal for Lauric Diakiesse to finish smartly.
