CURZON ASHTON were forced to hang on in the end, after a spirited second half fight back from their hosts almost took this tie to an unlikely replay.
The National League North side dominated erly on, scoring twice and making the divisional gap evident. William Hayhurst opened the scoring for the Nash on 38 minutes, when the winger seized on a clearance and smashed past Dan Lavercombe.
The visitors doubled their lead just before halftime when a mix-up in the United area saw the ball trickle over the line.
