TWO goals in a minute midway through the first half set Whitley Bay on their way to a narrow victory over Garforth Town at Hillheads.
Scott Lowery got on the end of a goalmouth scramble to give Bay the lead and then Yorkshire side Garforth were immediately floored by another hammer blow.
Lewis Suddick’s strike was saved by Town keeper Toby Wells only for Matty Weirs to fire home from 16-yards.
Garforth were back in it five minutes before half-time when a tremendous angled strike from Tabish Hussain found the net.
