THE unpredictable nature of the FA Cup was in evidence when Kettering, having lost 4-0 to Hitchin in the league on Tuesday, came to Top Field to snatch a late, untidy winner.
It was an untidy game with both teams employing caution and probing moves from were frequently frustrated and chances were limited.
Kettering, boosted by new signing, Leon Clarke, kept Hitchin at bay and bright moments were supplied by Owen Cochrane and Dan Jarvis.
