A CHARLIE Greenwood penalty was enough to put Merstham into the hat for the next round.
They got off to a great start when Dean Gunner superbly volleyed home.
But despite creating a host of chances, the Moatsiders failed to extend their lead, and were made topay when a lucky deflection found Harry Taylor’s feet to level.
The second half was a more even contest, with the game decided by some great work by Olu Lawal which led to a rash challenge in the box and a stonewall penalty. Greenwood stepped up and rolled the ball past Taylor after 64 minutes.
