■ IN a lively three-penalty cup-tie a last-gasp spot kick saved Newcastle Blue-Star as the battle between two reformed clubs will go to a sequel on Tuesday.
Blue Star’s first FA Cup tie on home soil proved an eventful one, Ferriby striker Lewis Dennison sent off just before the equaliser, Star having missed their first penalty minutes earlier.
After a goalless opening half, the Villagers forged ahead five minutes after the break when Josh Whiteley found the back of the net.
