A WELL-STRUCK penalty after just four minutes by Kieran Barnes set St Neots on the way to a convincing victory, although they should perhaps have had more to show for their efforts. The penalty was conceded when Harvey
Williams was hauled down as he burst into the area, and that seemed to set the pattern for the match.
Edgware had little to show in attack, and after dominating much of the play, St Neots extended their lead after 45 minutes when home defender Charlie Bowen rose above the visiting defence to convert a Barnes free kick.
