CRISIS club Axminster Town have promoted player Mark Scott as their new first-team manager.
Scott has been given the role after Justin Faulkner agreed to the South West Peninsula League Premier East club’s request to stand down, following their 11-0 home hammering by Cullompton Rangers in their opening game.
That defeat was followed by a mass exodus of players leading to the club unable to field a team for their next game, at home to Bovey
Tracey. They forfeited the match and were docked three points.
