GRANTHAM sneaked into the next round after a hard-fought win over Newark and Sherwood.
A hard dry pitch and a strong wind made conditions difficult for both.
Newark began brightly but despite Grantham having the first chances, they didn’t test the Newark goalkeeper. Harry Olivant hit a post for Grantham, but generally the play was scrappy and the half ended goalless.
Grantham began the second half pushing forward.
