THERE was no Cup upset as National League South Weymouth saw off Souther n League South Premier Sholing with a fair degree of comfort.
Terras goalkeeper Will Buse had made a couple of fine saves before Weymouth opened the scoring after 16 minutes, Josh McQuoid rounding Ross Worner and walking the ball into the unguarded net.
Four minutes later, Charlie Rowan doubled the lead with a looping header.
Sholing gave themselves a lifeline just before half-time when Charlie Gunson’s longrange effort somehow beat Buse.
