CHERTSEY TOWN held off an Ashford comeback to book their place in the next round.
Home goalkeeper Nick Jupp was forced off injured after only 17 minutes as the Curfews pushed visitors Ashford United out of the reckoning – although replacement Lindrit Begiri also ended up hobbling for the final dozen minutes in this battering, but not over robust tie.
It looked easy for Town when taking a two goal lead after 18 minutes, but stoppage time was drawn out too long for their comfort with just a goal separating the two sides.
