WHEN Philip Reay takes a seat in Wembley’s Royal Box this afternoon, his mind may well cast back a few years.
South Shields’ secretary remembers when times weren’t as good as they are now for the north-east club.
In 2006, the club folded and were on the canvas again four years ago when they were booted out of their Filtrona Park home and had to play 20 miles way in Peterlee.
