ROBERT Havercroft was, by his own admission, just a “gobby railwayman” when he was asked to become York City’s master of the mic.
“I’m not a broadcaster or entertainer or anything like that,” explains the 45-year-old, a York season-ticket holder and fan since the late seventies.
