CLEETHORPES did Division One South proud with a deserved victory at Premier Division Buxton to earn a place in Monday’s draw – but they were made to work hard for their win.
The Bucks had the elements in their favour in the first half but neither side could fashion a clear chance before the interval, even though both teams had passed the ball effectively and in entertaining style.
After the break the exchanges remained even. So the opening goal by the visitors just short of the hour was something of a surprise.
