■THERE was a goalfest down at Surrey Street on Saturday as Glossop North End edged Leek Town. Leek broke the deadlock with Tim Grice scoring early on before Zeph Thomas responded.
Thomas then scored his second, but once again a quick response made it equal, with Dan Trickett- Smith scoring for Leek. The teams were level 2- 2 at the break and fans had to wait until the 73rd minute for Ben Deegan to put the home side ahead. Courtney Meppen- Walter headed home to ease the pressure but a late converted penalty by Grice made for a tense finish.
