HEREFORD edged a close game against a weakened Oxford City side.
A tepid game saw City strike first as Freddie Grant headed home from a corner. John Mills levelled less than ten minutes later before the visitors took the lead through through Dara O’Shea’s header.
City had the first two sights of goal as Zac McEachran and Ezra Forde looked to find their range in the opening five minutes. The Bulls looked to respond but Lance Smith could only head over from six yards.
The hosts took the lead in the 11th minute, full back Grant rising highest to head home a corner.
