WHITEHAWK claimed their first win of the season against fellow National League South side Chippenham Town.
The Hawks took a deserved lead six minutes before the break. Substitute Ermal Hajdari whipped in a great ball to David Ijaha, who saw his firm header well saved by Jared Thompson, but Pape Gueye was first to the loose ball.
And the lead was doubled just two minutes into the second half. Sam Chaney ran at the visitors’ defence before seeing his low shot across goal parried, and Michael Cain was on hand to pass the ball past Alex Ferguson.
