■ BELPER and Stamford held one another in a stalemate. A highly cagey affair lacked much in the way of clear-cut chances or free flowing football, aided by gusty conditions throughout the afternoon.
Stamford’s shot stopper was the man of the moment amongst it all.
Daniel Haystead showed an array of talent, firstly stopping Craig Nelthorpe’s hazardous cross before pushing a Nathan Curtis flick over his own bar six yards out.
George Milner was next to rue the man between the sticks, tipping the Belper midfielder’s shot away from danger.
